Hello! If your dock button is staying a solid red color, the system is letting you know it needs to be reset. Here is the link to the Owners Manual. No genius. The product is defective. I have installed more than my fair share of shower filters, hand held showers and shower heads. The item is defective.

Good morning! We are sorry to hear that. You can try taking off the elongated plastic component before installation. The max countertop width for the faucet is 1/2". If you have a countertop width greater than that (1/2"-2"), you will need to remove the white plastic piece from the faucet prior to installing. If you remove the piece, ensure you reassemble the parts you removed before continuing. We hope this helps! -Aquasana Customer Support

@@aquasana this doesn’t help. Even after removing the white plastic piece I still am unable to install the faucet. This is a poor design. I’m returning the item back to the store. Utterly disappointed by Aquasana.

Good question! When replacing the filters, it is not a requirement to turn off the cold water supply. However, if you feel more comfortable doing so, you can. When you do the motion of turning the sump to the left it closes the manifold valves which prevents water from flowing through. That is why turning off the cold water is optional. Hi there, in the video and the manual, we do recommend using PVC Primer and glue for the slip fittings. The video does show this being applied to the fittings. The manual itself also has the NSF Certified PVC primer and glue mentioned.

@@aquasana I’m not referring to the slip fittings. I’m talking about the threaded parts that are being threaded into the tank. The installer uses tape, and some kind of pipe compound on top of the tape in the video, which page 5 of the manual specifically says not to do. Quote from the manual: "DO NOT use pipe dope or PVC primer/glue on threaded fittings. Exposure to these compounds will damage nipples causing leaks."
